Forget eye-gouging, this is price-gouging

How long ago did this movie go out of print? I assume that and Corey's death is what is driving the price so high. Because come on, $50+ for a used DVD?

The reason I'm looking for it is because the book was my favorite growing up, and I bought it for my niece. We were talking about it and I mentioned how much the movie butchered the book and how riled up I was when I was watching it (I rented the VHS eons ago when it came out and yelled at the TV), so of course she wants to see it. I'd love to rent it, but no one has it. Thought, okay, I'll just buy a cheap used copy - I know my niece will love it, if only for the fact that she'll get to watch me get all mad at the movie again (yes, she insists that I watch it with her), but that's pretty expensive for something you don't even like!

But this is typical of my unlucky timing.

Okay, I just had to vent...unless someone knows where I can get a cheap copy or has one they are willing to sell.
