THE ULTIMATE ADAPTION...if it happened

Hey guys!
first post... :P
Anyways this novel has been a major part of my life since I read it 4 years ago.
It has found its way into all my conversations since.
I always think about and discuss what the ultimate Watchers movie would be- include ALL themes and subplots in order to keep the intelligence but not muddled- we'd need atleast 2 hous 45 minutes for the thatrical releas and then 3 hours 30 minutes for the directors cut.
Here is how I would cast: (please provide your vision too guys!) THANKS

DIRECTOR: Steven Speilberg (I know I know... but really who else could you see? He always focuses on the characters and his animals always evoke an emotional resonse.... too bad Stanm Winston isnt here anymore to do The Outsider :(

So...

TRAVIS: Tom Jane? (he can act!) // Mark Walberg?

NORA: Jennifer Garner? (she can pull off mousy and weak AND strong)

VINCE: Micheal Madsen? (ever seen Reservoir Dogs?)+ he can blend in well

GARRISON DILWORTH: Ian Mekellen? // Michael Cain?

LEMULE JONHSON: Samuel Jackson? // the guy in The Mist and Fantastic 4 silvers surfer?

CLIFF SOAMES: ? really im not sure here???

WALT GAINS: Dennis Quaid? // Tommy Lee Jones? (maybe too old?)

JIM KEENE: Deen Koontz? (he needs a cameo and this role is perfect for him IMHO)

And we need Joe Pesci in there for a mod guy Vince works for... maybe the 'ugly' guy he gets to search for crazy police reports early on.

Oh and maybe Garrson Dilworth's girfirend/ friend (forgot her name-sorry) should be that woman who played the queen in... The Queen lol

Ok now discuss!
Sorry if this post is random... just wanted to share my vision with fellow fans!
And i side note I knwo the possible castings i made for Garrison seem to expensive but he was such a great role!

That actually seems like a pretty good cast.
Too bad they will never actually make it.

I agree that Dean Koontz would need a cameo in this movie. That would be great!

And Sir Ian Mekellen would be PERFECT as Garrison!

Slap yourself for associating Jennifer Garner with this! I would rather watch the original version which raped the novel than watch Garner even LOOK at a proper adaption.

But I do like where you are coming from

My dream cast:

Travis: Edward Norton or Ben Foster
Foster may be too young to play a delta force man, but I just loved seeing him play a good guy in Pandorum and I wanna see him do it again.

Nora: I like the idea of Jennifer Garner, maybe Rebecca Romain or however you spell it. Nora sort of reminds me of her role in The Punisher

Vince: No question to me, Garrett Dillahunt.

Lemuel: I'd like to see Taye Diggs, his character is the quiet observer and as much as I love Samuel L. Jackson I think he might just make it hammier by appearance alone.

The Outsider: No CGI, *beep* that

Travis: Brandon Routh

Nora: Evangeline Lilly

Lem Johnson: Denzel Washington

Garrison Dilworth: Clint Eastwood

Vince: Mickey Rourke

The Outsider: Ray Park

Director Peter Jackson

Not too concerned about the cast. With a good director, I'm confident they will cast it appropriately.

Of course if Peter Jackson directs it, Andy Serkis has to play the Outsider:-).
