Hoping to get a Blu Ray release for this film

After countless messages to the Shout Factory company about a Blu Ray release for this film I got a proper reply back via Twitter. They told me that they tried but were unable to obtain the rights. So I asked who owns the rights ? They thought it was Universal but wasn't. Then they thought it was Lionsgate but uncertain. I don't know if the representative was trying to brush me off or just tell me anything. I was wondering if anyone knows who the rights to this film and/or maybe send a message to Shout Factory about it

I think this film is very underrated. It may not be as good as the book but still a good movie. Compared to a lot of the garbage that's out today this film is LONG overdue for a proper Blu Ray release. Does anyone else feel the same way ?

I think the film is awful, and a waste of the incredible source material. That said, I did enjoy certain aspects of the film, and would actually like to see a blu-ray release as well.
