Where has this been?
I'm a rock 'n' roll science fiction nostalgic, and I have been back and fourth searching for my rock sci-fi movies. And here this is. What the hell?

It's not just you. I had the exact same WTF reaction when I discovered the movie a year or two ago. After doing TONS of research on the subject, I've concluded the only place the film is known is in Germany, where Zadora's music was insanely popular. It barely got screened theatrically anywhere, the VHS was released (worldwide) with absolutely no fanfare, and the only place it aired on TV with any frequency was in Canada (for about 6 months in 1986). Just one of those oddball movies that completely slipped through the cracks... but it's so wildly offbeat that it eventually gained a cult following, mostly through internet word of mouth (which is how I discovered it).
