this is my favorite all time comedy...followed closely by groundhog day

<ingo pulls a gun>
nick: ahh a sliencer, in a hospital, how thoughtful
ingo: tell me what mr. wilder told you
nick: nothing, he slept with harry's wives...
harry: everybody has to know?
sylvia: ooh, stretcharoo, I gotta tell ya somthin'
nick: yes, one moment but an important one. we've been through stretch, stretcharoo, next it'll be stretch-mark, where will it end?
<ingo is being tested with picture cards and gets one wrong>
doctor: try again
ingo:<sweedish accent> concentrate dammit, your mind is a yumble of idiotic nonsense. where did you get your diploma anyway?
doctor:<proudly>university of Oklahoma
ingo: <sarcastically> that's great, if we have a stampede you'll know yust what to do!
<sylvia being tested at psychic center>
doctor:all right miss pickle...
sylvia: that's pick-el dr. whiny...
doctor: that's wine-er

later after predicting his drawing
doctor: miss pickel, you're fabulous
sylvia: i've heard that before... then they never call
rofl, for the life of me I can't see how this movie was not better received and how cyndi lauper did not become a movie star. she was absolutely adorable in this and her comic timing was excellent. her chemistry with jeff was great, peter falk was a riot and the writing was top notch. the end was a perfect setup for a sequel. as a matter of fact it's not too late. jeff and cyndi are not too old and I for one would love to see these characters again. stranger things have happened...
