20th Anniversary Director's Cut?

I think it would be cool to see how Phil Joanou really wanted to cut the film. Plus there is tons of unused footage.

A 20th anniversary remastered DVD and Blu-ray would kick ass.

Agreed, and I'd probably double dip, since I found the original DVD for like $6.99

I just got the blu ray version which was released 6/3/08. Thought it would have new footage. Haven't watched it yet, but will let you know if it does. I don't think it does, since the only additional footage is the trailer (big whoop).

Well this obviously never happened, come on Viacom - lets see a 30th anniversary cut!, I know you have all that footage wasting away in storage....

Maybe the band should just buy the rights and have Solo Too or whatever their production company is called do it themselves.

didn't Phil Joanou recently say that he has so much material left over and would love to do a director's cut... but he is waiting for the band to get into gear? They really should remaster R&H album AND movie and release a super-duper fan package.. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
