No, Perry wasn't shot.
Somehow he seems to pretend to get shot(he must have pretty good reflexes to dodge the bullet, hehehehe), then when the cop comes up to his truck, he grabs the cop and knocks him out.
Of course not, because she gets married and then meets up with him hours or a couple days later (in the event of a honeymoon) at the hotel. He's not wounded there.
