Why is she blonde?

Sherylin Fenn plays a blonde, but isn't one. Did the producer or director feel that a classic sexy, rich, gorgeous American beauty had to be blonde?

reply

She look good as blonde to.

They may have thought blonde hair would look better amongst the overwhelmingly white wardrobe worn by most of the cast, though I think Sherilyn's gorgeous dark hair would have provided a striking contrast, rather than just blending in.

In the movie, her cousin (played by Milla Jovovich) sees her and screams "your hair!" so I think that April bleached it herself for the wedding... trying to sessy it up a bit, heh. She wanted a change, the hair was a lame attempt at it, the affair was not.

reply

I like her better with dark hair, too.

At least April left the carpet natural
when she bleached the drapes.

reply

Exactly. It was either written in the screenplay to be died blonde on a whim by wedding-jitters-April (which would be King's reasoning) or Sherilyn just went blonde for fun and they wrote it into the story. Either way, it's just hair. She's a stunner, regardless of hair color. Simple as that.

Her beautiful hair even for script purposes should not have been messed with, she looks awful bleached, it in no way looks hot or authentic!

reply

She's a beauty no matter what, but I much prefer her with dark hair as well.

I hated the blonde hair , she is a gorgeous lady with her dark hair . The blonde hair looked so fake and comical

I thought it could have been done to suggest a resemblance to Madonna? At the time, the singer had fried peroxide hair and very dark, thick brows. Terrible look, IMO.
