Seeing a bit 'extra' of Richard Tyson on the DVD

I'd been wondering why my DVD showed more of Richard Tyson than most that have seen the DVD here on the thread. Well...I've figured it out. You have to watch it in full screen Real Player. When I watched in Widescreen (in whatever software comes on when I put the DVD in my laptop), it cuts off at his navel. When I watched it in the same software in full screen, same thing - it also cut the bottom of the frame. BUT, when I watched in in Real Player on the full screen side B of the DVD, the film is more in a square and...well...there it is - in the right bottom side of the screen. I'd consider it impressive. You also see more of Sherilyn in the beginning of that last scene at Two Moon Junction when he is holding her up off of the ground. His hands are in .....places..... :)

Anyway, I hope this solves the mystery for some of you as to why you couldn't see what I saw.....

Enjoy!

Heheheeheh, I noticed that too when I bought the DVD :)

You have to watch it on your PC, Real Player...somehow it shows you it all, compared to a regular DVD player on TV...

reply

Well this certainly has peaked my curiosity! I love this movie and have seen it too many times to keep count. Had no idea about the 'extra added bit'. I'm thinking of getting a DVD player to put into my computer just so I can see it for myself lol :)

crazy stuff.

anyway...who can tell me the song that is played when Perry is forced to dig up his dog w/the sheriff watching. Is that a Jonathon Elias song? or someone elses? thanks!

Oh my God that scene was so sad he really made you feel for him .it kind of made it difficult to concentrate with him being shirtless and all

reply

It's not about playing it in Real Player. Any PC DVD software will show this when viewed in full screen. It works in Windows Media Player, too, and WinDVD.

Ok I just watched it again for research purposes of course :) and I definitely saw his package at Two Moon Junction after they had sex as he gets up to zip his pants you definitely see it and lets just say the man is gifted and Sherilyn Fenn was very lucky

reply

hi,what do you mean when you said that sherilyn fenn was very "lucky" ,did they actually have sex or it was just simulated sex?

reply

To me it looked like they were and if they were she would be very satisfied the man is packing serious heat :)Just llok at the scenes when they are at two Moon Junction just as he he leans over her you can see his package.very impressive

reply

When she "dismounts", there is no visible lubrication on Richard. One would surmise Rich would be a bit more "shiny" if there was actual penetration. I think they were close, real close, but that was probably part of the agreement so the acting would be even more believable. I do feel, however, Richard is giving Sherilyn a primitive variety of the "shocker" when he hoists her above the floor in that sultry barn. Those carnival hands have ventured pretty deep into Ms. Fenn's soft, white rear end.

Someone PLEASE download a clip of that b/c I would really like to see what you're all talking about!

No producer or director on an actual movie set is going to take the time to let their actors have sex (unless you think 10 second sessions separated by 30 minute breaks is sex.)

People, the production of a movie just doesn't allow the time or freedom for things like real sex.

Keep fantasizing about it if you like, but there are tons of people on set trying to keep things on time and budget. Real sex is not part of that process.

For comparison, Porn sets just let the camera run for minutes at a time, totally different than movie shoots.

reply

"actual movie set" is very general terminology. A scene like the one in reference only needs the two "actors" and, since the shot was handheld...a camera man (or woman). Most sex scenes have little dialogue so audio folks aren't needed. If the lights are good to go...then they are good to go. The gaffer can beat it. Time for some intimate, comfortable filmmaking. I.E. Kubrick the only one in the room with Tom and Nicole for hours at a time while shooting EWS. This scene in Two Moon probably went down just like that. Zalman King (the Director), on camera with big Rich, little Rich and Sherilyn gettin' freaky. King isn't going to stop anything from happening on this "actual movie set". It undoubtedly happens.

I watched it on my comp and of course went to that general scene, and it's actually a lot more than just a glimpse. When Sherilyn climbs off of him, he is erect and ENORMOUS, her foot even hits his cock as she climbs off. THEN as he's sitting there asking her what time the wedding is, it looks like he's rubbing his thigh on TV but actually his penis is resting on his thumb and he rubs it a few times, WOW.

God he was so pretty, and this is just a bonus, heh.

reply

Why don't they make movies like this anymore? :)

reply

Here you go, the whole movie! The 'extra bit' of Richard Tyson are ab at the 88 min mark! Keep watching b/c @ the 90 min mark right be he asks what time the wedding is you can see it under his hand and then once he moves his hand you can see the whole thing, still erect before he pulls his pants back on! ENJOY!

@jkloni - You are my new hero of the day. I read your thread yesterday and immediately plugged the DVD in last night. In a DVD/blu-ray player, even on the Full Screen (P&S) side there is nothing to be seen at the 89 minute mark.

However, like you said, on a computer Richard Tyson's bone is definitely there. And like someone said later, when he's stroking himself (just before the church scene), you can see himself there, too.

Great find! This needs to be reported on Mr. Man.com ;)

When viewing a film, it is typically shown in either fullscreen or widescreen. Either way you are missing footage, to the left + right on fullscreen and a little on the top + bottom on widescreen (not the complete length of the black bars, but maybe 1/3 of the black bar's length).

However, there is a format which I call "truescreen" (not sure if there is a proper name for it), and this shows everything. But there is a major drawback to this, the picture becomes much smaller.
People with Hi-Def satellite TV will be familiar with this format when they watch a channel that is not Hi-Def.... it is like a screen within a screen. It's like what a 'widescreen' film does to the screen (top + bottom has black bars) but now the black appears on all sides, thus making the picture much smaller.

That's how you were able to see buddy's 'shlong' in Two Moon Junction, watching it in "truescreen"

You would have seen his 'package' in true fullscreen, but many times they use the "pan and scan" method (usually to focus on important footage but this method has 'backfired' and ruined many film like "The Haunting Of Julia")
