Matthew Broderick as model

I like this film, but it slightly bothers me that Matthew Broderick plays a male model. They could have made him a commercial actor, but he seems a little too short to be a very successful male model as written. And he is good looking in boyish way but, again, not necessarily a male model type in my mind.
