Did Calvin's brother die in the navy? I only saw some of the movie and I remember him and a bunch of others having to go inside this room on the ship with all of the dead people and I remembered he screamed as he saw someone. Was that his brother he saw?

Around 1957, Calvin's brother, Frank, was murdered in Houston Texas. He died while on skid row. They say he was never the same after receiving a head injury from a fall while serving on a merchant vessel. Calvin pursued answers to his brother's death with local authorities. The case was never solved.
