What did you think of it?

I consider myself lucky to find this movie for $1 at a crappy old videostore. XD

I have a love/hate relationship with this movie. I love it because it's one of the first movies to show what language barriers and culture shock is really like, especially in Japan. A good depiction of the Japanese and their way of life.

But it was so B-rated! The acting wasn't the best, and neither was the directing, the soundtrack, or the casting. (Minus X Japan; they were awesome!) Does anyone know why the main character had such an odd look? Just her scene? o_O I found her personality and voice to be very, very odd and out of place for the movie, but it's so odd, I'm almost intrigued.

Also, does anyone have any comparison pictures of X Japan in the movie to their movie characters? I'm having trouble picking out who is who when I'm watching it.
