Earlier in the film, an investigating police officer (I believe it was) explained that David Harris never told the truth. One has to wonder if Harris's story about the death of his brother was the truth, or not.

shareI'm 50/50 on it. Either that, or the event screwed him up, as he stated. I tend to think he is a bit too much of a psychopath to be so emotionally affected by an event like that, but you never know.
