this is, by far whoopi's worst movie. it was retarted and i wouldnt waste good money renting it. i was very disappointed. but if you liek campy, corny movies, by all means, go rent it. great mindless fun for the insane.

This question is pretty old but here is what this movie about.
Whoopi plays an out of work actress named Vashti Blue who spends almost the entire film alone in her apartment, talking to herself and her pets, and to various people on the phone. If you are a serious Whoopi fan, as I am, you may be able to appreciate her various characterizations and how easily she slips into all kinds of different accents. But the plot is practically non-existent.
The movie has a really good surprise ending, so subtle that a lot of viewers apparently miss it entirely (possibly because they have fallen asleep by then). We don't see how deeply disturbed Vashti is until the last few minutes of the film. But it's a very long trip to get there, and unless you really like Whoopi, it may not be worth it. I'm glad I saw it, but I can see why a lot of people consider it a very bad movie.
For Whoopi fans, a 6 out of 10, scored solely on the shocker ending.
For non-fans, 0-1, unless you really dislike Whoopi's style, in which case you should avoid this film like the plague.
lol thank you, that was helpful. I am a HUGE Whoopi fan and try watching anything atleast once. I am going to see if I can rent it some place.

I found this Film 2 days ago in a old Video rental place.The place is so close but I never went in ,it's one of those local places for renting.I bought a couple of movies the VHS 2$ each Can not to bad.I picked this one up I thought hey it has whoopi I know sombody whos a crazed fan I'll give it to her.I watched this film I thought it was Great some of it was pretty funny but mostly the acting was bad but in the end I think it was great because the thing at the end really hits you and your like what that cant be true.So yeah it's really was a great movie in my view if I had to pay more that 2$ I dont know If I would buy it but hey it's just 2$
