Spoiler

From what i remember the it ends with some telephone company man coming in and taking her phone, telling her that it has been disconnencted for months or something.

and then she stabs him and pretends to call the cops saying something like 'i've been a bad girl'

Weird! Thanks for telling me, I was really curious.

"Weird" is an understatement. This film is just plain bad. I like twist endings or even offbeat and bizarre films - but just because they let Whoopi rant for an hour and half (mostly on the phone) and then we realize her phone is disconnected and thus she's really bonkers and homicidal - well, gee, so what? it reads like a bad college play and considering Southern and Nillson wrote it together they both were probably sloshed and stoned. k

i thought the movie was very entertaining. funny. the ending just made me want to watch the whole movie all over again to see how funny her conversations were with herself.

reply

I did too because I never guessed she was actually carrying on imaginary conversations the entire time.

I forgot the stabbing part...

I can imagine the whole movie done over with bluetooth.

[I swear there a zillions of nuts walking around, taking to themselves with those gizmos in their ears...]

If I remember correctly, she was stealing electricity from the light fixture in the hall. Maybe this is a clue that suggests that she might have also been tapping someone's telephone line and actually making real phone calls?

I found the ending to be completely disgusting. The film is supposed to be a comedy, but that ending was just scary.

No one has ever made it to the end of this turd on film. I heard that it ends when the main character is mistaken for a dog turd and meets with a horrible lawn mower accident. Just sayin.....
