'The Last Neighborhood in America.'

What's the meaning behind that tagline? Maybe how Barry's call-ins tended to be socially isolated, misfits, or just derelicts (i.e., the neo-nazi callers), and the radio show could be the last or only "home" for these partly-anonymous folks to really show who they are? It's been over a year since I've watched the movie.

I think it's a very insightful expression since in the eighties people were no longer sitting on the front porch to talk to each other, and that pretty much has continued into the 2010s.

Huh. Never thought of it that way....how do you think it relates to the movie, Barry's character especially?

reply

It has no meaning. It's just an advertising slogan.

I figured it meant something, since they could've chosen just about anything.
