This movie is clearly a remake of His Girl Friday but there's not much info online about it.

It is actually a remake of The Front Page, of which His Girl Friday was a remake of.

But it follows the gender switch of His Girl Friday so its clearly based on that version. They did not independently make the same key change to the Front Page as His Girl Friday. So I think it is fair to say the Switching Channels is a remake of His Girl Friday which is a remake of The Front Page.
