I think they should have stuck with the original ending

On the trivia page, it says an ending was filmed where Raymond gets caught by the police. I personally think they should have stayed with that. I'd have preferred watching the scumbag ending up paying for his crimes. Just letting him get away with is somewhat unsatisfying to me. I think there should have been an epilogue explaining how the bodies were eventually found and Raymond ended up spending the rest of his life in prison, being raped on a daily basis by the other prisoners.

hahaha, nice. You know, we were all chearing for that, but I liked the ending, it really shocked me imagining Saskia (Luciana, my love) having to go through that.

No, the ending they went with is pretty much perfect. Hard to watch for sure, but a happier ending just wouldn't work for a film like this. The remake is proof of that.

The ending does serve to remind us that there are very dangerous people out there, even if they and their lives seem normal on the surface. (Saskia assumed that Raymond was "safe" just because he was a family man.)

I definitely got the impression at the end that he remained a danger to society.

The only time where an ending was changed from an unhappy one to a happier one and I thought it was a smarter decision was for Get Out
