Did anyone else notice... (SPOILERS)

... how all the gifts Raymond had gotten for his birthday were there/had a part when he abducted Saskia? He was wearing the sweater, used the box of tiles to lure her, unintentionally attracted her attention with the keychain and got the final touch for his plan in the photo album (although he didn't use it for Saskia).

Also, I didn't see it mentioned somewhere else on this board: does anyone think the two small trees we see Raymond's wife watering at the end were growing on top of the coffins? One with flowers above Saskia, and the other one, smaller, above Rex, who had been there less time...
