is obsessed with this movie and I have to watch it nearly every day! Great film, only gets old after about 500 views!

Clearly you're joking about the fetus but it's harder to tell with the others. If nothing else they should have learned from watching the movie that certain thoughts can contaminate a young mind. When one is young or immature, their experiences and perspective are limited so they can misunderstand the point of a movie like this.

A good parent should be able to explain right from wrong and how that can be applied in this movie.

Watching movies with children and discussing aspects of the movie is a great way to teach good values. However, there are certain concepts younger kids do not yet have the capacity to understand and, most likely, the kind of parent who feels an eight year old can watch this kind of movie repeatedly is probably not talking to them about it.
By the way, cartoons can be pretty violent as well; so I'm not just picking on this movie, but most kids can tell that cartoons are not real life. Even though there weren't violent scenes on camera (that I recall), the movie is very dark. A steady diet of that can desensitize any of us; especially kids who may not be able to process or make sense of what's happening.
