Why wasn't there a sequel?

* SPOILER ALERT *

This movie should have had a sequel. Miranda and Aldys keep the sharade going with each unsuspecting victim, as they lure them to the beach to be sacrificed every winter solstice. I would have loved to see a sequel to this movie so that one of these times, someone foils their plans and kills the cult.

Well, there still could be a sequel. Kelly Preston's still around, after all.

Standing there, on a road that leads to anywhere ...

reply

Sadly she longer is around. RIP Kelly

reply

Agreed.

Most likely because it was a made for tv production, and perhaps after all the furore with John Travolta and stuff over the sex scenes, if there was a script, it probably would never have seen the light of day. If there was a sequel, I would have loved to have seen miranda and that other lawyer guy finally caught out and punished.

reply

I saw this film in a theater.

reply

It was not a made-for-TV movie. It had a limited theatrical release and then went to video.
