Didn't anyone find it strange that this nice guy would invite a woman he knows nothing about and met literally on the street to live with him????? Just seemed a little far-fetched that they crammed what appeared to be a solid, and loving relationship into like 2 nights. If it's that easy to get with Tim Daly, then I'm doing something wrong.

She more than likely used a spell on him to get him to invite her back to his place of where he was living at. I do remember her telling him that. Still I would not have invited a complete stranger to stay with me. I would have more than likely driven them to the local YMCA or homeless shelter for them to stay at over night instead of having them come to my place of where I lived at.

Yes it did seem a bit far fetched all right in my opinion because there is no way that I would invite a complete stranger to my apartment without getting to know them just a little bit.

To be honest, it seemed possible to me, only if that I've met people who have actually done this, met somebody in one night who was a bit off and have them move in quickly.
Not to be fair, his character really didn't seem strange, but I take it he was looking for excitement in his life and so when this strange and beautiful woman enters his life, he's tempted.
They could have fleshed it out more, but I guess they were trying to pace the movie better.

You need to think of it this way, if you were in a bar and met a woman who wanted to go back to your place to have sex would you? Most men would I think, so what's the difference if he invites her to stay the night? None really, he's known her for about as long as it would take to make contact with a woman in the bar.

his being lonely and eligible this movie was set in the late '80's.
Well before today's hi tech digital age of fast pcs, internet
search engines and before cellular phones w/text messaging and
instant messaging. Since there was no internet at the time then
Jeff had no way to do a quick google search on Miranda. And to
find out all about her background. Heck she most likely used
an alias and gave Jeff a phoney name. Plus she was quite
stunning and sexy and he was lonely and she had earned his
trust as well. And imho the majority of single guys who are
straight will do anything just to get lucky with any beautiful
woman. Back then and today as well.
