Anybody know if it's available on DVD?

I had a copy of this on VCR tape in the UK that was played so many times it stretched and expired.

I'm now in the US. Is it on DVD anywhere?

I dearly love this movie. Just picking up the case and seeing the "beam" from his ray gun emerging at an angle makes you realise that the production values were in negative figures.

Great fun, I would dearly love to see it again - Gee! I just had a thought! What if a DVD had "deleted scenes"? Can you imagine how AWFUL they would have to be to be deleted?

Don't touch that!
Why Not?
It does very bad things...

The original movie is in print as a discount DVD. Go to the online vendor of your choice and search for the title, or just go into any video store and ask them about it. Amazon.com has it for around $7 new, $4 used.

Did you have Mystery Science Theater 3000 in the UK? It's available on their DVD collection Vol. 4, with banter throughout.

I have gone away to come back. For the ones I left behind. For the ones who cannot out.

falsedichotomies - Yup, we did get MST3k over here in the UK, but it was just the Sci-Fi years.
Season 7-9 I think? Not really sure, it was in the late 90's.

It is available on a low budget sci-fi box set. I purchased the box set because it had a copy of Firehead on it. This story gets convulated, so try to follow me. Back in the eaqrly 1990's I purchased a used VHS tape of a Frank (Frank, not Sylvester) Stallone movie called Terror In Beverly Hills. Before the feature selection, they had a preview for Fireheead, a low budget flick starring Christopher (The son, not Jack) Lemonn. I was never able to find a copy of Firehead until I came across this box set, which also contains this cinematic masterpiece. In a case of six degrees, the police captain in Terror In Beverly Hills is the girls father in Space Mutiny. If you just want a DVD copy of Space Mutiny without the other crap films, it is available at deepdiscount for $5.50.

If you get a chance, please check my imdb review of Terror In Beverly Hills.

I own the original on VHS and the MST3K version on DVD.

Note that the MST3K version is the funnier of the two, but that it also edits the movie down by about five, maybe ten minutes, presumably for content, time and comedic pacing.

Please let me know if there's some other way we can screw up tonight.

What happens in the scenes they cut out?

What is the sci-fi box set called? I might get that if it's not too expensive.

Deep Discount is offering this and Firehead for $8.39. It only lists those two movies, but more than likely is that Sci-Fi box set, which has about 8 movies on it.

I found Space Mutiny in a box set at Big Lots (a discount chain) for $5.00. The other five films in the shrinkrwapped DVD box set are: "Prey of the Jaguar", "Future Zone", "Future Force", "Firehead" and "Conspiracy of Fear" but I only bought it because of "Space Mutiny" (which I also have in the MST3K box set, but wondered what the non-riffing version would be like).

It's put out by Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, according to the box and is officially titled: "Sci-Fi Six Pack Collector's Set."

John, that sounds like the box set that I have. I picked it up for about $10 at Andrews AFB. They had a bunch of other low budget box sets, to include an ection/adventure set and some cheesy 1980's teens trying to get laid set of movies.
