Is the writer Fritz Gordon really Michael Hitchcock?

That's what it says in the IMDB trivia section. They don't look or sound anything alike. Maybe Fritz Gordon was more than just a pseudonym? It would explain why he doesn't say much of note on those audio commentaries. He's also never talked about these movies outside of those audio commentaries from 2002.
