That's not Alcatraz

It probably goes without saying, but the scenes set on Alcatraz were definitely not filmed on The Rock. Plus, you can't get on the island if your friend sails his dad's boat there in the middle of the night, so don't even think about it.

You are correct, Warped Record. Only four days of exterior shooting were done on The Rock. The interiors were all done in a studio at Culver City. There's a small article on this film in Fangoria issue #72 that points this out. Moreover, I added a trivia item clarifying this in the movie's trivia section.

Thanks, as always, for setting the record straight, Woodyanders!

Is there any mention of why there's a commercial at about 22 minutes for a local Chicago suburban Chevrolet dealer, Celozzi-Ettleson in Elmhurst? It's where Jan is watching TV right before the scene where Alex's bedroom is on fire. The only reason I noticed it is I recognized the "Where you always save more money" tagline from watching Chicago area TV while growing up. I wouldn't have thought that would have been broadcast in California.

Because this movie was partially financed / executive produced by Nick Celozzi, co-owner of Celozzi-Ettleson Chevrolet, which was at one time the #1 Chevy dealer in the country. No surprise then his son got to be the star.

Well that makes a lot more sense now. I didn't even notice the actor's name at first but now it's pretty obvious.

Thanks for the info!
