amazing screenplay

This film had a ***great*** screenplay -- not the shooting script but the original, which I read when they were shopping it around a couple of decades ago. The screenplay made such an impression on me that when I watched the movie on TV tonight for the first time since it came out, it was the original script's plot I remembered, not the film's.

Here's to the writers (and no wonder why they took their name off the credits).
