Frank would of been fired so fast

Considering he also brought a guy with a gun into the booth, his speech all well and good was a very passionate mostly selfish rant about himself, if this actually happened in real life and you saw some nut job go off you'd probably switch over or just watch this car crash telly happen, Frank was also showing signs of stress before all this happened right in front of the head guy so having a shotgun in the office/on set means heads are gunna roll....

What about the office too? surely someone at their desk will question why their monitor has a massive hole in the middle of it, hardly able to brush that under the carpet without anyone asking questions

He would HAVE been, you're right. That's why it's a movie.

I dunno, maybe back back then. Imagine today, ignoring Eliot Loudermilk, how much publicity that segment would have gotten. It would have been ALL over Facebook!!

It's *would HAVE, goofy.

if this actually happened in real life

So, in real life, if a TV exec got visited by 4 ghosts (boss included), wherein he was able to view past, present and future events resulting in the revelation that he must change his ways and in doing so interrupts a live TV show by taking the control room under siege, you believe he would have been fired (regardless of the fact his boss, after kicking his cat in frustration, accepts the TV execs decision to interrupt the live TV show and decides to dance with his wife)?

For all we know, the Frank character was fired after that broadcast.

In the movie, it could have technically all have taken place in Frank's mind. Even considering that Claire saw the ghost cab driver. The cabbie could have been a real person Frank ran across, and when Frank saw all the ghosts together singing, Claire looked up to see what he was smiling at, and Frank quickly turned her head before she noticed "anything there".

The magic of Christmas would have warmed the execs heart as well. If not, then the ghosts would have haunted him too.
