Best Christmas movie.

I can watch about 5-6 christmas movies more then once around the holidays but I watch this one about 10+ times. Good from start to finish and is just a great feel good movie. Favorite part is when Herman and Eva keep on telling him to recite lines as Richard Burton. Murray's delivery is untouchable.

Definitely in my to 5 for Christmas.. But my #1is and has been The Ref for years. Definitely much less family friendly but I can relate to the hell that Christmas can be.. Also National Lampoon's Christmas and Ernest Saves Christmas

This has been the "Start the official Christmas Season" movie for my home since 1990. Just watched it tonight.

This film is definitely up there with "Home Alone", "Die Hard" & "A Muppet's Christmas Carol", everyone should see this film once.

Excellent thoughts. Much better than the lame brain who started the worst Christmas movie thread.
This one clearly shows it's the BEST.

That would make 3 Christmas' I've saved, vs. 8 that I've ruined; two were kind of a draw..

One of the worst.

Scrooged is one of the best, up with Home Alone, Trading Places, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I absolutely love this movie!!! I can't wait to watch it every year but I make myself wait till it almost a week or so till Christmas.

Bill Murray is so funny in this. I grew up watching him on reruns on SNL. The Comedy channel use to play episodes of it when I was teenager in the late 80s. He quickly became one of my favorites actors. I think it's cool his brothers in this movie too.

that's hard to say, so i'm just gonna narrow it down to which version of this story i like best, the 1997 tv movie "ebenezer". the channel where i saw this lact the main star credit in the cast list so i thought i was in for another version, unexpected to catch mitchum in this, i got a ghostbusters vibe the scene where hanging outside the building. was that the same "dog star" as in married with children? in this version i was very surprised how early he was effected by things, after being used to version with palance where he stays solid grumpy most throughout.

hooked on your wire,
the song caught fire,
handed me the tools,
