I just realized that Laurence Fishbourne was in the middle of playing Cowboy Curtis on Pee Wee's Playhouse while filming this movie. I'm sure he was relieved to play an adult role for a change. Shows what a great actor he is.

The cast is great and he is brilliant. Seeing him these days on TV makes you forget what tour de force performances he used to give in everything. Even here where his character arguably doesn't have all that much to do, he still comes out as very memorable.

He was pretty good in Apocalypse Now...it was an underrated performance.
