The step show where the Alphas are stepping they're saying "Ice, Ice, Baby, Too Cold, Too Cold". Two years after this movie came out, he came out with his song.
shareVanilla Ice didn't necessarily copy the Alphas from this movie specifically - he copied what was a well-known Alpha chant in general. This movie didn't make up the "Ice Ice Baby" chant - it was already a real-life Alpha Phi Alpha trademark.
However - Vanilla Ice may not have been aware of this Alpha tradition until he saw this movie, so - who knows?
