Can someone explain the plot? Maybe spoilers
I just didn't get it? Were the three brothers the scarecrows? How did they get that way? I'm genuinely confused,
"Well if I'da known it was such a big deal to ya I'da asked you to let them kill me"

You're not alone, but if you watch carefully Wesley leaves a few subtle clues. The Fowlers practised devil worship, it's not clear how they became zombified scarecrows exactly, but my hunch is they sacrificed themselves and came back from the dead as, erm, Scarecrows!.....then again I could be clutching at straws......
shareThe whole devil worship thing is funny, because it's mentioned by one character who has found no evidence of devil worship. It's almost like he just grabbed a random thought floating around inside his head or something. We never see any kind of evidence of such acts. There is that little altar thing at the end, but even that is rather generic looking and just as some candles on it. Nothing else to suggest specifically it was used in devil worshiping.
shareDon't feel too bad, the plot is horrible. The three brothers were scarecrows, why? Because it's spooky. Don't try and dig any deeper than that.
He asked us, "Be you angels?"
and we said, "NAY, we are but men," ROCK!
spooky...lol. I almost fell asleep watching this "horror" film.

I think it was meant to take place on some sort of haunted ground. Whether the three brothers were devil worshipers or not, there was clearly something unnatural about the farm where the events were taking place. The scarecrows, for instance, didn't make the key to the truck magically appear when Bert was searching the house, nor did they make the truck run when it was later revealed to not have an engine.
Whatever evil thing was happening on that farm, the scarecrows were acting in service to it.
I like Curry's character explaination the best, he said "maybe the MP's did kill us, cause why did our bullets hit them but they didn't hit us for all the shots they fired.. and this is our hell, cause we're already dead"
But it wouldn't explain Kelly's innocent father being killed, but I guess the movie needed more body counts..
This, or it's some sacred haunted ground, because whenever the scarecrows killed, their victims turned into zombies too.. or after they cut and stuffed them.. 7/10
