But the entire film is stolen from the cast by Britta Phillips, the one in the cast who up until that point had very little on-screen acting experience.

Britta was the best part of this movie, especially singing "Mr. Big Stuff". She also had the best comic moments and was the most believable actress. After hearing her sing it was HILARIOUS that the writers actually thought that it was believable that the music promoters only wanted Jennie Lee. They really wanted us to use our imaginations didn't they?

Sh!##y Star Vehicle... This was a terrible movie. I love 80's movies, even cheesy ones.. the ones that were never meant to be Oscar material, just plain fun, ie., Sixteen Candles, Just One Of The Guys, Modern Girls, Bright Lights, Big City, Reckless and countless others.... I couldn't sit through this one.. couldn't even sit through Michael J Fox's "Light Of Day".
