I really liked this movie! Usually I am the first person to hate on a movie like this, but I dunno, the dialogue and characters really sold it for me...anyone else agree? I am a struggling musician, and while a number of the scenarios shown were unrealistic, I thought it did a pretty good job overall depicting the dichotomy between going off the beaten path to musical uncertainty and sticking to the straight and arrow of school and the workaday world. just my 2 cents...

Well I thought this movie was excellent and it had an awesome all star cast to boot . This movie is very underrated IMPO and that's too bad . Thanks brittchick109 for your subject post .

Yes, especially between the girls. Those scenes feel very natural.

Its sort of cute to see young peoples takes on these movies which are 30 years old. Back in the 80s, pretty much everyone thought this movie was total garbage. Justine Bateman never got many good roles after this debacle.
