Favorite Scene

My favorite scene in this movie was Rita and Ken dancing to the song, "Margarita." I soooo loved this scene! Another scene I enjoyed was Rico, at the end, ditching La Luna to dance with Vikki. I'm not Hispanic (I'm black, and conversational in Spanish) but I loved this movie and I loved the music. Even after 20 years I'm still addicted to this movie. Also...has anyone scene that movie with B2K? I can't remember the name of it, but it had a similar concept; dance battles...cash prize involved...brother is pissed about his friend dating his sister, and so on. Salsa inspired ALL of these "dance war" films that are out now.

I think most, if not all the dance sequences are pretty good.
'Under My Skin' is a good song and the scene, whilst cheesy, is kinda cool.

I'm with you, the Under My Skin scene was higgedy higgedy HOT, even by today's standards. Can cut the sexual tension in that scene with a knife. His zipper is halfway down and Lola has her face in his crotch at one point....I thought in-pure thoughts and was hoping they'd take it further (lol). Not to mention Lola was WAYYYY hotter then his gf.

LOL Yeah, Lola was better looking, but she was a wee bit too slutty, where as Vikki was the, "good girl," and was more likeable. I actually like the scene where Rico is dreaming that he and Vikki are on the billboard dancing to, "My Puerto Rico." Great scene! I think the music and dancing saved this movie for me!

Dance scenes aside I would say the argument between Rico/Rita when she walks in house late.

LOL When I was younger and didn't speak/understand Spanish, I thought she said, "Don't call me a bull dagger, bro!" LOL Now, that I've learned Spanish, I laugh at how silly I was for thinking, "bull dagger."
