i've seen running on empty millions of times and i have a real eye for detail. anyways sabrina the teenage witch (tv show) was on for a while here and i noticed that when you see the shorts of the exterior of sabrina's high school, it looks ALOT like the exterior shots of the high school Lorna and Danny go to (in the scene the day after she cracks it at him for not having sex, and he follows her as she's walking home from school but she ignores him). anyone agree?need some diehard sabrina fans

Actually yes. The name of the High School is Dwight Morrow in Englewood, NJ. I was so addicted to the film that I drove into Englewood (only 15 mins from where I was from in NJ) just to see it again in person. Then I went to craft show at the high school one day JUST so i could be in the school. I had intentions of finding the Home Economics room where they filmed the cooking classes. And I found it! On the 2nd floor. It was amazing feeling seeing it right there looking through the glass in the door knowing river phoenix was in there! On the outside in the front. I walked along the sidewalk where river and lorna walked. As well as the bushes outside the front where river said his goodbye to lorna

Alicia, that rules. Did you recite any lines from the movie? That's what me and my friend did when we visited Nashville and went the The Bluebird Cafe and The Drake. :)

Why did you go to the Drake though, River was never there, just samantha

Well they make it look like he was there, albeit briefly when he drops Miranda off and they kiss for the first time...."bye moody". I guess it's possible that footage in the truck was filmed somewhere else and they spliced it together?

I dunno, even if he hadn't been there, we enjoyed the movie and since the motel was featured so prominently, we figured we might as well check it out while we're there!

The Bluebird was great, just like in the movie. Before we went there actually we bought coffee mugs off their website. They have a bunch of merch for sale on their site (novelty but kinda cool). http://www.bluebirdcafe.com/
