Is this canon with part 1?
I know that part three was it's own seperate story and 4 and 5 take place back to back. But is this one canon with part 1 or is it it's own seperate storyline?
Thanks in advance.

Separate story line, but Col. Glover is in this one as well. This shows continuity, especially when he says "not again".
shareI think it takes place in a different location shortly after the events of the first movie. With the exception of Col. Glover's return, there really isn't any continuity though.

There's also the scene where Ed/Frank says that he feels that he's been here before, that this has happened before, and it's like some dream.
shareGood to know the nuke in the original didn't make things worse.

I say yes.
shareIt's suggested it is. The barrels being driven out by the military are supposed to be from the remains of the nuked city which the gov has kept silent about. not only that but the two main characters of Lucy and Jesse are Wilsons and it was said behind the scenes that they are related to Burt Wilson of the first film.
shareThere's an indie film Called "Return of the Dead" that follows up the events that took place in the original "The Return of the living Dead" which truly feels like a sequel and is not cheesy like Rotd2! Do check it out!
