Warner Brothers Archive needs release the 1988 version

And you know why? for the orgnial music version I know this film is now on DVD but i'm talking about an archive release! they are releasing some of their not so good or hard to find movies on DVD like "Hot To Trot" "Bad Ronald" why not a WB archive version of this with the first & better music score.

Movies 4 life.

That would be great if WB released it with the music from the VHS version. I love this movie but dislike the music on the DVD.
If you select the french audio on the DVD menu it plays that cool "Monster Mash" song from the original release.

I'd rather Scream Factory reissue it with the original audio & their usual extras. ;)

I would like Scream Factory to do it as well but it's with Warner which they don't have a good enough relationship to license films from them. Except for the Theatrical version of Night Breed in the deluxe set but the was some special case.

Not trying to promote piracy, but there's an EXCELLENT T0rrent out there with the blu ray picture and the original '88 audio/music!!! happened upon it by chance...

I bought this DVD on release date way back when (so I gave WB my dang money for crikes sake!), but was dissappointed by the music changes and the worst amateur audio chop when the redhead girl gets her head bitten by her boyfriend, which goes into the next scene...inexcusable in my book!

I showed my kids the downloaded version....they immediately recognized the redone Trioxin theme when the zombies come out of their grave (they love that track)....I'm happy!!!!

Wanna know something weird?

The songs are there, on the DVD.

But on the Spanish audio track.

I wasn't aware they did change the music until I read the Trivia section on here. I was wondering why it had Monster Mash listed in the credits when I didn't remember hearing it anywhere in the film. That explains it.

Warner has a lack of re-releasing any of there Horror Catalog in better editions or on Blu. Obviously Scream Factory would be the best choice since they just released Part 1 in a Collector's edition, but alas Warner wont lend out any of their films to specialty labels......I'm just wondering if much like how Warner lost the rights to all the Morgan Creek films recently could the same-thing happen here since Lorimar Pictures was the original rights holder of ROTLD2? Does anyone know the rights issues with this film?
