michael jackson zombie

Why did the filmmakers allow the shot as is? The actor simply walks into frame like he was hitting his mark...not like an undead corpse frying in a puddle of electrified water

I don't know, but watching this scene after he died in 2009 just makes that scene feel more eerie. Also I heard the guy who played that zombie also played Scuz in the original film.

And he appeared in Part 3.

It is the actor who played Scuz. He was on set and they thought it would be hilarious of him to walk on as MJ. But on the day of the shoot the director had second thoughts. They still shot it and let the actor just walk on and do the scene. If the director felt he didn't want the shot he could just remove it in post production. There's a lot more about this scene in the documentary. In part 3 the actor was one of the guys in the white suits prepping the skinny zombie.

we can chalk it up to sloppy editing

There are some mistakes, but I can appreciate that the film never takes itself too seriously. Shame the director did not enjoy making it, because it looks like it could have been a lot of fun.
