One of the greatest scenes in film history...

... is Half way into the film when Clooney and the other guy walk into the apartment, and the director yells cut. He tells them that they're out of money, and an actor from the guild says everyone who talks gets $400. Then Clooney mentions product placement. The follow up scene where they bring in the Pepsi and Crest is a classic too.

Overall, a decent film, sometimes there's long stretches between good jokes, but that entire sequence is fan freaking tastic...

If any know where to view just that scene online and would link it, I'd be much obliged!

Great scene indeed. Saw this nearly twenty years ago and it still stands out along with the line about toast! And it has had me paying attention to product placement since.

I love the "honda of San Diego" while the director is drinking with hot girls. To there reply " do we have enough money to finish this film"

I like the scam Clooney had going, auctioning off a date with Rob Lowe (who of course had nothing to do with it), getting the applications with the girls' name/number/pictures, then picking out the really hot babes and calling them one-by-one, telling them they did not win 1st place but won 2nd place, which was a dinner date with him. It was a quick way to get some good action.

Between this and the "product placement" scheme, he had some neat things going here.

I agree. The Rob Lowe scam and the product placement scheme were one of many hilarious barbs at Hollywood in this film. And Hollywood so deserves it!

Love it-Own it and will probably watch this weekend

Love it when the two are talking and than someone lifts a box of Corn Flakes onto the screen and sets it in front of the. Hilarious part.

The part that had me rolling was just when you thought the product placement was over, then Gangreen calls Igor on the phone, and when they cut to Gangreen he's wearing his white bathrobe, and then he turns his back to the camera to reveal the Pepsi logo on the back of it! I so didn't expect that, it was hilarious! Even Igor's constant grinning throughout the film...funny and creepy at the same time.

Another great line I loved because it went by so subtle was when the Starke and Clooney are locked in the Basement and Starke asks for a piece of paper and Clooney says "oh here use a page from my script" and pulls out a copy of the movies script. classic.
