Can anybody tell me when or where this is available on DVD? Thanks :-)

It was released on VHS. I transferred my VHS copy to DVD. Looks good:

I'd keep checking the thrift stores and clearance bins to find this at a bargain. I paid 75 cents for mine at a used record store. This is a lot of fun, with a mockumentary for the first half and a Bruno concert for the second. I preferred the second act because it totally rocks. 8/10 stars from me.

But you're talking about the VHS, not DVD, right?

Yes, VHS, not DVD. I don't think this is out on DVD, at least not legally.

I still have my VHS copy recorded off HBO back in 1987. Just watched it again.
