Why exactly does George want to kill himself?

He hasn't worked in years, yet seems to have plenty of money.
His landlord doesn't seem to care whether he pays his rent or not.
A nice, attractive prostitute (three words you'll never see together again) desperately wants to give him an all-access pass.
Everywhere he goes, people are offering him free weed!

He should have let the whole "Vito's Revenge" thing run it's course, so he can get back to the fairy tale!

He is manic depressive... they doesn't need a reason. When they feel lonely and unworthy they want to end their lives, no matter how good (or not so much in the case of George) it is, theiy just try to end it.
Hope that this was help you on this.
Greetings!
