I completely agree. The movie was a snooze, but Jerry's score made it worthwile. In many cases, however, the music didn't seem to fit the tone of the scenes. Regardless, it had a great soundtrack.

Great score but also a great film imo. Its always a delight to see badly acted 80s movies and this one ranks right up there with the best/worst.

I agree with some of all of the posts in this thread.

I have a weird love affair with "Rent-a-Cop." I admittedly love Liza, but that can't be just it.

Goldsmith's score is beautiful. It establishes a tone from the get-go.

The Liza/Burt teaming is great. I wish the script had been better.

This movie is no worse than any schlock blockbuster that's clogged multiplexes a decade later. There's a lot of fun to be had here.
