Red River

I've always wanted to see this movie, but has never come across it. anyone knows if it's out on VHS or DVD, or any plans of that happening?

i was doing some everyday stuff,
when disaster struck,
when i got there first, after the word,
it struck a bolt in my nerves,
the lifeless body will be shipped,
and a chosen spot where to dig,
should i be ashamed, that i found some relief it wasn't you,
i didn't have an understanding for the callous that of some peeked through,
sorry i didn't tell you about it yet,
some things are harder to deal with than others i guess,
as the years go by,
in the evening, when the sun shines through the pines,
i still find myself standing by your grave,
wishing i had done more to keep you safe.

I wonder that myself. It aired early like 7 am about a day or two ago on Encore Western and it's going to air again in a week or so. But it's still going to be early, maybe 4 am.

Just watched it last night on Encore. You're not missing much.
Although it follows the original pretty closely, with the addition of a decent sub-plot, it deviates just a tad toward the end.
Problem is Walston is no Brennan, Boxleitner is no Clift and Arness isn't the Duke. But you knew that. :)

The color is actually a distraction and even the similarities in the script seem empty and mailed in by all. There are cameos by Robert Horton, Ty Hardin and Guy Madison, which is kind of neat ... all three being veteran western actors ... but they're just small treats among a bigger snooze fest.

I've seen most of it and I actually like it despite the ending where it kind of loses me. So I'd be willing to pay if it were cheap. I was just curious as to whether it was ever released. I am a fan of Stan Shaw though and westerns from the 80s/90s in general.

In the instant that we learn Michael is gone, we know nothing.
