anybody else struggle to keep a straight face during his speech because you keep remembering the parody speech in hot shots 2?

I had the same reaction to his speech to the Russian colonel about Afghans, considering the U.S. military's subsequent endeavours.

I think it had been so long since I saw both movies that I had begun to think some of Hot Shots 2 actually happened in this movie, lol. Having just done a Rambo marathon it might be time to do a Hot Shots marathon.
