I made the mistake of purchasing this on DVD since I have seen and enjoyed Fulci's other films. Worst decision ever. The acting is terrible, the story is ridiculous, and the attempts at humor fall flat every time. A few of the gore scenes are quite well done, but this is not enough to save it.
AVOID
If you want to watch a good Fulci film, rent "The Beyond" instead.

I haven't seen it, I just saw the trailer on the lizard in a womans skin dvd.. it looks more revolting than Fulcis other films

I wouldn't be that harsh. Fulci has made worse than this, and even the worst of his have always some camp aspects to make them worthwhile. You didn't like it. I liked it. I encourage everyone to give it a try, if you have interests in Italo horror and 80's sleaze fests.

I waited 7 months to get this dvd in the mail. I finally saw it today and I'll have to say I was a bit disappointed. It was gory, weird and disturbing at times. The women Lester had relations with were probably the sickest parts of the movie. I don't know if they were just ugly or if it was just make up, but boy they were ugly lol. I'd give this movie a 7/10
I hated the ending, that just felt so rushed.
