This is the worst movie I have ever seen, Far worse than smokey and the bandit 3
and jaws 4.

No, it wasn't!! "Purgatory" was released theatrically in October '88, I remember seeing it on the theater marquee on 42nd Street in Manhattan. And furthermore, this is an exploitation flick...not to be taken seriously, whereas "Smokey and The Bandit Part 3" and "Jaws: The Revenge" tried to be legit fare. I think the original poster missed the point.

i like smokey and the bandit 3! "give me the good ol' days, when two boobs were a couple of dumb guys!" - jackie gleason. anyway, back to this movie, the scenes with opening credits mix goes on for about 10 minutes, and listen to that circus background music. while dealing with this serious matter, still the girls are doing sexy poses, and you feel guilty watching. i got this on a dvd titled "4 great movies", two of them being with tanya roberts, who was hotter in the other movie with the exception of the cover on this.

This movie is a real life account of being a woman in an overseas prison. What sucks is both women were really innocent
