What other films are there which are about stand-up comedy? Any recommendations?

Comedian. Starring Jerry Seinfeld. It's a documentary about his return to standup after the tv show ended, insisting on doing all-new material so he had to work at it like he used to. They also follow a young starving-artist comic who wants all the things he sees Jerry as having. This movie really opened my eyes to what life is like for comics, even more so than Punchline.

a little movie by Judd Apatow that starred Adam Sandler...it had a few other comedians in it...

You're thinking of "Funny People". "Annie Hall" also features Woody Allen doing stand-up, in one scene.

1992's "This Is My Life" starring Julie Kavner ('Rhoda', 'The Simpsons'). The movie is not great, but Kavner is very likeable as the single mom trying to make it big as a stand-up comic. The soundtrack (by Carly Simon) is far better than the movie itself.
