Why didn't you take the kid to the hospital?

I mean maybe they were far away, but someone could have tried to take him to a hospital.

The most common explanation for this is he did not trust hospitals. He lived in an area that did not trust outsiders too much and hospitals fell into that description. I know people who would rather die than go to a hospital because of the fear they have. They believe the doctors are all going to make horrible mistakes or they will catch a horrible disease while getting something simple treated. I knew a guy who treated a bite from a copperhead at home because he did not trust hospitals. He did not lose his arm but it swelled up giant and had a wound that took forever to heal.

I just saw this part of the movie, where Billy is killed in a accident. I wondered that too..when his father comes back, why didn't he take him to a hospital instead of just in the house. I mean he could have been dead by then, but he had seemed sort of moving up until the house.
Also..why didn't anyone blame the dog for this, the dog caused the whole thing. I know the sound might have bothered it but still..if the dog was suppose to watch the boy, or vice versa, then...i'd kick some thing

It's not the dogs fault. First it's the father's fault. Why the hell would you leave your son alone? Just stuid. Then it's the kid's fault for running like an idiot after the dog and not listening to his father. Then it's the dog's fault.

This movie is so stupid.
