Where did Rocklands go?

Where did the cops take David & Bill to?I also wish they made a sequel to the movie because the the ending left an opening for it.

Hopefully, their fates will be finally known in the 2006 movie with the same name or in a sequel of it...

This is when the creative minds to go work!

In my mind, the cops take them to the hospital first to have them checked if they're alright, after that they are interrogated about the night's events. Bill understood that the cops would never believe an evil force trying to kill him and his son, so he claims that the house caught fire because of wire malfunction. The cause of Bill trying to chop down the electric pole is that he claims that he had many problems with his electrical appliances (mainly with the boiler which almost killed his wife) at the same time and that he was getting angry and frustrated. The cops believe him, and they send him and his son home.

With the pulse gone from the Rockland's house, David and Bill took a look of the house now partially destroyed by the fire. The whole second floor is gone, but the fire department managed to extinguish the fire before it could spread on the first floor. They take necessary things and then spend a few nights at their neighbors' house. David's mother, also Bill's ex showed up Sunday after the climax of the film to discuss what went wrong with David about his stay in Los Angeles, about why he wanted to go back home. Bill told her the same story he told the cops, he still thinks no one will ever believe him if he told the truth. David was silent, he though Bill made the right decision. As the mother understood, she wishes Bill good luck and went back to Colorado with David.

A few days go by, the police searched the house for evidence that the fire was by acidental cause, and they proved it was from electrical wires overheating. Bill got the money from the insurance and took of what's rest of his belongings; furniture and stuff to an apartment in Venice. Meanwhile Helen is recovering slowy but surely but they're still monitoring her at the hospital.

Bill starts up his own investigation as of what is really going on with the electrical power. He speaks with the realtor of his home (the same who has also former Jordan's house) who informs him that he's been doing business restoring the house with Holger, the old man. He tried to find his phone number but he has no phone.

As Bill tries to find the real truth, residents of his old neighborhood complains about strange noises coming from 1949 Kenwood, Stevie's house....

To be continued.

Good idea! Now after more than 20 yrs., that would be interesting to fill
in those blanks. Just as long as the new actors hold up to deYoung &
Lawrence's performances.

Too late for a sequel to this movie & it's an interesting follow up story by golbez-1. I also wondered about what's going on at Stevie's house afterwards cause it went to end credits when he pulled the plug on the electric cat clock.

It's never too late, in Hollywood's eyes. But, with the right script...
