Interview with writer-director Paul Golding about the making of PULSE

Figured anyone hitting the PULSE (1988) message board would be interested in this.

I saw the film for the first time earlier this year and was - pardon the pun - shocked at how great it was. Even more surprising was the lack of information on the film online. I had to know more and tracked down writer-director Paul Golding, who was kind enough to give me the scoop on what exactly happened with this film. Not only that, but he gave me a look at his entire history, including making student films with George Lucas (I heard this Lucas kid went on to do some flicks).

Anyway, if you want to learn how this film went from Columbia's big summer release in the summer of 1988 to being dumped in a few dozen theaters, click on the link below.

Excellent interview. I added five trivia items and the film's budget after reading said interview.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

Cool, thanks.

What a phenomenal interview! A truly great piece of writing! I watched Pulse again last night and began gathering a bunch of research stuff to turn it into an article for the little horror site I write for. After reading this just now, I've decided to scrap it: what's the point when something this wonderful has already been written? I can't gush about this enough - it's excellent.

Wow, thanks for the kind words. What site do you write for?
